Coloray Participates in Revision of National Standard GB/T 5211.11-2026, Now Officially Released
 

 
On July 2, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China officially released the recommended national standard GB/T 5211.11-2026, "General Test Methods for Pigments and Extenders — Part 11: Determination of Water-Soluble Sulfates, Chlorides and Nitrates," which will take effect on February 1, 2027. As a leading enterprise in China's effect pigments sector, Zhejiang Coloray Technology Development Co., Ltd. was involved in the standard's development from start to finish, with the company's legal representative, Mr. Zhuo Zhongbiao, listed among the drafters.

GB/T 5211.11-2026 is a recommended national standard that establishes methods for determining the levels of water-soluble sulfates, chlorides, and nitrates in pigments and extenders. It falls under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Paints and Pigments (SAC/TC5), is implemented by its Sub-Committee on Pigment Products and Test Methods (TC5/SC8), and is administered by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. The new standard has been comprehensively updated in terms of scope and technical content, bringing it fully in line with advanced international testing methodologies. This step not only raises the international standing of China's pigment testing standards but also provides a unified, science-based technical basis for related products to compete in global markets.
