To celebrate China's traditional culture, enrich employees' off-hours life, and extend the company's care for its people, we recently organized a hands-on workshop centered on making sachets and mugwort hammers. Staff from across departments turned out in strong numbers, taking in the fragrance of mugwort as they explored traditional craftsmanship together.
The venue was filled with warmth and the gentle scent of mugwort. The company laid out an array of materials in advance — colored fabric, silk thread, mugwort, aromatic herbs, cotton cord, and wooden handles — and brought in instructors to walk participants through the folk traditions behind each craft along with the techniques themselves.
At the sachet-making station, employees threaded needles, packed in herbs, and tied off tassels, carefully placing mugwort, mint, and other natural fragrances into small embroidered pouches. Each stitch built toward a finished sachet said to ward off illness and bring safety and good fortune. The mugwort hammer station was just as lively, with staff tightly wrapping and binding mugwort floss, securing it with colored cord, and finishing each hammer by hand — a piece that's both a wellness item and a practical keepsake rooted in traditional health practices.
Throughout the session, colleagues lent each other a hand, traded tips, and swapped stories about Dragon Boat Festival customs and wellness traditions. The usual tension of a busy workday eased away amid the laughter and conversation. One by one, fresh-scented sachets and sturdy mugwort hammers took shape — each one carrying a wish for health and safety, and each one a small marker of the warmth and camaraderie built within the team.

By combining a traditional cultural experience with genuine care for employees, this workshop gave staff a chance to connect with intangible cultural heritage through hands-on practice, while also easing work pressure and strengthening team cohesion. Looking ahead, the company will continue hosting a variety of cultural activities, deepening its commitment to employee well-being and building a warm, positive workplace culture — one that draws people together and supports the company's continued, high-quality growth.
