Recently, Zhejiang Coloray Technology Development Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Changzhou University and other institutions, successfully completed the project titled “Preparation and Industrial Application of Attapulgite-Based Light-Colored Antistatic Functional Materials”. The project was awarded the Second Prize of the Invention & Entrepreneurship Award by the China Invention Association (Certificate No. 0123). This prestigious national-level award recognizes significant achievements in technological innovation and the commercialization of research, marking a key breakthrough in China’s field of light-colored conductive functional materials.
The project focuses on attapulgite as the core raw material and utilizes structural regulation and surface modification technologies to successfully develop high-performance light-colored antistatic composite materials. These materials have been industrially applied in coatings, automotive primers, fibers, and other fields. The new material addresses major industry pain points of traditional carbon- or metal-based conductive materials, such as dark coloration, susceptibility to oxidation, and high costs, while achieving synergistic optimization in conductivity, whiteness, and mechanical performance. It demonstrates significant technological advancement and strong market competitiveness.
